Today I will discuss on a very trending question which is hovering on the minds of young generation in India. The question is "HOW TO WRITE RAP LYRICS IN HINDI?". I am sure that after reading this article, many of you will understand the basics on how to write rap lyrics in Hindi language and most importantly how to maintain a flow in the lyrics.We all know that Rap & Hip Hop was not originated in India. We had adopted and are following the paths which have been set by the Western Society. It is not something that we used to see from our childhood as we don't have that hood kind of environment in our society. But in this internet world, we came across various music genres and it's just a matter of a punch bar, a beat or a style that can attract anyone towards this culture and even it can drag you to be an artist.
In India, to be a rapper and to make a hit rap song is still a difficult task specially if one is dropping Hindi bars on the beat. As it's very rare that one can know pure Hindi language as today we all used to speak a mixed language called "Hinglish". Now writing lyrics in English is still an easy task since we have a large number of synonyms for a single word which can fit in rhyming the lines. On the other hand, in Hindi, we too have synonyms but they are not frequently used in our daily life and also we are not able to pronounce it correctly which will not be a good experience for the listeners.
It does not mean that I'm restricting you to write the lyrics completely in Hindi. In fact, you can be perfect in writing pure Hindi rap lyrics but to achieve that it will require a lot of learning of new words and a practice to use them. Please be informed that to write a song lyrics and to write a rap lyrics are two different things. Song lyrics require less lines and most of the part is of imaginary world whereas rap lyrics require more lines and most importantly it should have messages and expressions which are more related to a practical world. In this article, I'm not targeting the Bollywood type rap songs, I'm targeting that real level rap songs and I know you can understand the difference very well.
To write Hindi rap lyrics, kindly follow the points mention below -
#1: Picturizing the theme
#2: Dealing with rhyming the words
#3: Adding some English words
But still if you are not able to express your lyrics fully in Hindi then kindly start adding some English words which will become easy for you to express freely and also for rhyming the words. To find English words for rhyming the lines, you can take help from the Rhymebrain website.
#4: Choosing Appropriate words
#5: Structuring the Lyrics
You have to write the lyrics in a sequence. if you are describing a story then you should frame the lyrics in a way that the listener can dragged himself into the lyrics and feel the journey in it. You cannot mix the lyrics flow to whatever you want as to just rhyme the words.
#6: Fitting on the beat
Conclusion
I would like to conclude that writing rap lyrics is just like writing poetry but the only difference is that you have to write real stuffs. You can make your bars to reside on people's minds only if you had expressed your emotions in the same way as you had experienced them.
So what are you waiting for? Just grab a pen and a paper and start expressing your life in words. If you don't want to waste papers then just open Notepad in your laptop or system and start putting your life on it.
